Birthday Celebrations in the Magnolia Room
Celebrating one's birthday with friends is an especially meaningful event. We celebrate in the Magnolia Room with a special snack that is brought from home (e.g. cookies, small cupcakes, muffins, fruit, popcorn...). We have 24 children and 2 teachers in our class. A birthday napkin also makes the snack special.
The birthday child may also choose to bring in a series of photos for each year of his/her life. We show the class how he/she has grown from a baby, to a toddler, to a three year-old child, etc.
Your family may wish to give a gift to the classroom in honor of their birthday. This gift will be presented at the party. Our classroom has a "Wish List" with items in all price ranges (shipping will be included in the price). If you choose something from the classroom wish list, Ms. Gail will order the item for you. To assure that the gift will be here in time for the celebration we suggest that you sign up for your child's gift at the beginning of the school year. This act of giving turns the child's attention outward and expresses thankfulness on their special day.
You may wish to attend the party if your schedule permits. If your child has a summer birthday, we will celebrate before the end of the school year. A note will be sent home a few weeks before your child's birthday with the date and time of the celebration.
